Large 16" (Armpit length) refers to large box braids created with your own natural hair, arranged to reach roughly armpit level for a fuller, more defined silhouette. Because we use only the client’s hair, final fullness and length depend on each person’s natural hair density, actual length, and how the hair lays once braided.
Expect the stylist to work with your natural texture and length to shape each section. The braid size is intentionally large to create visible, defined strands; this gives the fuller look described in the service name while relying on your hair’s baseline thickness and elasticity to determine the finished weight and movement of the style.

Typical appointments for this service are scheduled as 120 MINUTES. That time covers discussion of desired shape, sectioning, and the braiding itself. In our Hollywood (La Brea corridor) location, clients often choose quick pre- or post-commute slots near Hollywood/Highland transit, or evening and weekend times if they work late in entertainment or hospitality.
Because arrival condition and consultation affect how the session proceeds, allow the scheduled 120 MINUTES for the full experience. If you have photos of the look you want, bring them; discussing comfort around tension and weight is important so the stylist can adapt sectioning to your hair and daily routine.
