Installation typically takes 2 to 4 hours depending on hair density and desired parting. Our stylists work efficiently to ensure neat, consistent braids while prioritizing comfort. We’ll provide a more accurate time estimate during booking based on your hair.
Wash, deep-condition, and thoroughly detangle hair before your appointment. Avoid heavy oils or styling products that weigh hair down. Arrive with clean, moisturized hair and any reference photos to help your stylist deliver the exact look you want.
Minimum recommended length is roughly 4 to 6 inches for secure braiding; thicker textures hold large braids especially well. Our stylists will assess your length and texture and adapt technique for finer or coarser strands as needed.
Sleep with a silk or satin scarf, moisturize your scalp weekly, and wash gently every two to three weeks. Avoid heavy products that cause buildup. We provide aftercare instructions and recommended products to keep braids fresh longer.
With proper care expect 6 to 8 weeks before noticeable new growth or loosening. Longevity depends on hair growth rate, maintenance habits, and activity level. Regular scalp care and minimal manipulation help extend wear time.
We carefully unbraid to minimize breakage, followed by a gentle clarifying wash and deep conditioning treatment. A trim may be recommended. We advise protein and moisturizing treatments after removal to restore strength and hydration.
