Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Interlock (2.5 Hours).

Your stylist will assess your locs, interlock new growth at the roots, address flyaways, and finish with light styling. Expect focused work on the scalp and consistent tension tailored to your hair's needs.

Most clients book interlocks every four to eight weeks depending on growth rate, hair texture, and desired neatness. Your stylist will recommend an ideal cadence to prevent buildup and maintain strength.

Interlocking works on many loc types and sizes, but technique varies. Very new or extremely fine locs may require gentler approaches. Book a consultation so we can tailor the service to your loc maturity.

When performed correctly, interlocking is safe and minimizes breakage. Our stylists control tension and use appropriate tools. Discuss any prior damage so we can adjust technique for your hair's condition.

We generally recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours before a full wash to allow the interlock to settle. If your stylist cleansed during service, follow their guidance on drying and post-care at home.

Maintain with gentle cleansing, lightweight moisturizers, and scalp oil as needed. Sleep on a satin pillowcase, avoid tight styles, and limit heavy products to prevent buildup until your next appointment.
