During the 120 MINUTES session, stylists section the hair and form new locs according to the agreed plan. Complexity — hair length, density and chosen loc size — determines how many locs can be completed in a single appointment.
You can choose the two-stylist option to speed installation when available. With two people working together, sectioning and formation happen simultaneously, reducing total chair time and often resulting in better rhythm on larger heads of hair. The trade-off is coordinating schedules — the flat-rate two-person option is subject to availability and requires booking that accounts for both stylists' time.
Factors that shape results
Hair texture, length and density are the primary factors that shape how many locs we can form in 120 MINUTES and the resulting look. Coarser or very dense hair may take more time per loc than thinner hair, and longer hair changes the weight and fall of completed locs. We assess these variables during your in-chair consultation.

After installation we’ll discuss routine touchups and how often to return for maintenance — timing depends on how quickly your hair matures into established locs. For clients working evenings or attending events in West Hollywood or at the Hollywood Bowl, we’ll advise timing to keep the style fresh. Expect specific maintenance recommendations during checkout.
